CA Tech inaugurates new state of the art facility in Hyderabad

This addition boosts CA Technologies capacity to house an additional 1,000 employees on top of its current headcount of 1,600 employees.

CA Technologies has announced the inauguration of the global IT software leader’s new, US$30 mn, state of the art facility in Hyderabad. William E McCracken, CA Technologies CEO opened the environmentally-friendly, LEED Gold certified 200,000 square foot building located on the company’s India Technology Center (ITC) campus.

This addition boosts CA Technologies capacity to house an additional 1,000 employees on top of its current headcount of 1,600 employees. Further, the new building will take the ITC footprint to about 450,000 square feet and reinforces the facility’s stature as a model IT campus for both the company and in the city of Hyderabad.

“As the world's leading independent IT management software company, CA Technologies relies on a vibrant and diverse workforce with major sites around the world,” said William McCracken, CEO, CA Technologies. “This new facility is our largest location and is essential to the company’s continued ability to deliver industry-leading solutions to our customers. Now we will be able to accommodate anticipated growth in our R&D, technical support, IT infrastructure management, applications development and professional services teams,” McCracken added.

CA Technologies ITC is the single largest R&D facility for the technology provider and develops about 30 percent of the company’s global products. The ITC contributes to the development of all major CA Technologies products in the areas of IT management and security. The ITC team plays a central role in developing innovative solutions to manage and secure IT environments for the company’s global clients.

“The announcement exemplifies CA Technologies commitment to expertise in leading-edge product delivery and in attracting high quality talent,” said Saurabh Srivastava, Chairman, CA Technologies (India). “Work carried out at the ITC is critical to our operations around the world. We have created a world-class working environment at the ITC to attract the best talent.”

Further, the company’s 30.5 acre campus is arguably one of the finest in Hyderabad with environmentally-friendly features that include: rain water harvesting; sewerage treatment plant; solar fencing and external lights, and sensor-based lighting in common areas to reduce electricity consumption, among a host of other features. The campus also includes employee-friendly facilities like a gymnasium, recreation room, outdoor games facilities, and a well-stocked library. Source: www.indiainfoline.com 4/10/10
