ORR phase-I connectivity opened
HYDERABAD: Following inspection by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Friday, the Outer Ring Road Phase-I connectivity provided in the form of four-lanes from Gachibowli to Shamshabad was formally opened to vehicular traffic. The Chief Minister, accompanied by his Cabinet colleague Sabitha Indrareddy, drove down the entire 24.8 km stretch with the convoy wending its way through Nanakramguda and Narsingi. During the drive, he was received by local residents at different points. In a brief address to the gathering, Dr. Reddy said the ORR Phase-I would be ready in all respects by August, 2009. Work on the second and third phases of the project too was being taken up, he said adding that with the present connectivity, the traffic bound for airport would flow smoothly.
